Nothing is bringing me down right now.
Snowed ten inches in the last 24 hours?
Me: Ahh, doesn't the snow look beautiful covering the trees!
Mail order pharmacy screwed up a new prescription...again.
Me: It will all get figured out eventually and I have plenty of supplies to get me through until it does.
Comcast increased my bill without notifying me...again.
Me: Ok, the bubble only extends so far. Comcast can suck it.
For real though, I am beyond thrilled to be engaged and to be starting this chapter of our lives together. At some point I plan on dedicating a blog post to the wonderful man who decided to tie his life to mine because he's really something else.
For now, I'm going to continue not noticing a million posts about a potential cure for diabetes and enjoy this time in my life where for once, diabetes is not the first thing that comes to my mind in every situation throughout the day. Moments so big that they make your diabetes take a backseat only happen a handful of times in life. I'm holding on to this feeling for all it's worth!
Here's to you and me, babe.
Congrats on the engagement!

ReplyDeleteWow, Katie!! I'm so happy for you!!! (sending a few more exclamation points your way!!)
ReplyDeleteYour second-to-last paragraph exemplifies what I've been saying all day. Don't get hung up on the potential prospect of the possibility of a cure. There's a life to be lived. Go live it. You won't have this moment again.
Congratulations! What happy and fun news! You two look great together. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Man in person sometime soon. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulaions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
